While everyone is loving the hell out of Nina Katchadourian’s hilariously wonderful Seat Assignment: Lavatory Self-Portraits in the Flemish Style series (left) — it is ricocheting around the interwebz — we wanted to remind people of Henrik Kerstens’ own Flemish-inspired series (right) from years before.
Using more diverse materials — like plastic bags, napkins, bubble wrap, toilet paper … — Kerstens’ series is marvelously witty and visually shocking.
